I was born in Nuremberg, Germany and spent my childhood and youth there and in Switzerland.
After my high school I started my studies at Macromedia Academy for new Media and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications at University of Bradford, UK.
After my studies I worked for diverse Advertising agencies, and successfully completed correspondence courses in English and Spanish, before I devoted myself to the arts. I returned to Nuremberg and I am working as a freelance illustrator, known under the name of Kilioa, now.
My works are as chameleonic as life is, as the life is my inspiration…
My illustration themes range from fashion, to lifestyle, erotic, flora and fauna, to anatomical drawings, maps, architecture and collages, which are inspired by my travels around the world, where I was able to get to know different cultures and lifestyles...
Many agencies recommend consistently to commit myself to one theme, to be distinguishable from others, but in my eyes every artwork is something new, which contains a part of me, and this means to me to pick up my ideas from life and and transfer them to my artworks.
... and my life is not all about one theme as life is so versatile.
Sometimes my artworks are just technical, sometimes charming, funny, at times profound, and sometimes just decorative... they "just" reflect the life... and myself!
