Brief Description
British-born fine-art photographer/filmmaker Martin Reeves embarked on an enchanting personal journey twenty-six years ago, visiting lost cities and remote locations in Asia.

Being passionate about photography, Martin’s dream was to portray an Asia of old. An Asia steeped in magic and myth.

His photographs look slightly otherworldly, possessing an ancient quality that frees the subject from the modernity of the 20th century.

ZOOM, the acclaimed international fine-art photography magazine, has featured Martin’s Asian portfolios twice and his images have been exhibited throughout Asia and Europe.

Four of Martin’s photos of Angkor were chosen by His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia as state gifts in 2006, and in 2007, Martin’s book Angkor: Into The Hidden Realm became testament to his fourteen-year labour-of-love photographing Angkor. With a foreword by HRH Princess Norodom Rattana-Devi, the book holds images that have been immortalised into the design of the five-star Hotel de la Paix in Siem Reap by the legendary designer Bill Bensley.

Also in 2007, Martin was chosen, along with a group of internationally renowned photographers, to take part in a book project entitled Thailand: Nine Days In The Kingdom; a tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his eightieth birthday.

In 2008, Martin was assigned to take photos of ‘Old Siam’ — the resulting photos are on permanent display inside the clubhouse of the Royal Residence — Bangkok’s most prestigious housing project.

When Martin is not taking photographs, he makes short films for the History Channel.
